Understanding the Process

Where Video Advertising Stands Now,
and How We Turn It Into Growth

Video advertising has changed shape three times over in the space of a few years. The screen moved, the buying model moved, and the job of creative moved with them.
Here is the ground as we read it, and what we do with each shift.

What Has Changed

YouTube Moved Into the Living Room

The largest change in Indian video advertising is a change of screen. YouTube reaches over 75 million Indian adults on connected TV, and more than half of platform watch time goes to content longer than 21 minutes. Prime time came back on the platform that was supposed to have ended it. Planning YouTube as a mobile channel now misses where the most valuable attention has gone, and it misses the audience that watches with the family rather than alone.

Objectives Replaced Format Picking

Video Reach, Video View and Demand Gen campaigns now bundle formats and let Google’s systems decide placement. Video Action Campaigns folded into Demand Gen. The advertiser’s job moved from selecting placements to defining the objective precisely and supplying creative in every shape the system can serve. Buying skill shifted from selection to briefing, and a great many media plans have not caught up.

Creative Became the Main Lever

When the platform controls placement, creative carries the variance. Multi-format campaigns need vertical, square and landscape assets from the first day of the plan, and a single recut television film will underperform whatever the campaign settings say. Configuration can no longer rescue weak assets, which puts production back at the centre of media performance.

Video Demand and Search Demand Are One Loop

The Trade Desk and WPP Media research into Indian connected TV found 83% of viewers search for more information after seeing an ad, rising to 89% among premium viewers. That is the most valuable behaviour in the whole funnel, and most media plans leave it unclaimed. Video creates the query. Search decides who answers it. Run the two separately and you pay to create demand that a competitor collects.

How Approaches It

We Plan to the Objective, Never to the Format

Campaign type follows the business goal. Reach when you need salience and scale, views when you need consideration, Demand Gen when you need action. We agree what the money is meant to achieve before we decide where it goes, and we write that into the plan so every optimisation later has something to answer to.

We Produce for the Placement, In Our Own Studio

Our production team sits with our media team, so creative is built to format specification rather than trimmed to fit one. A six-second bumper gets written as a six-second idea. A Shorts ad gets shot vertical. When the media plan changes, the brief changes with it in the same building, on the same day.

We Close the Loop With Search

We hold the Premier Partnership across video and search, which means the demand a campaign creates lands somewhere we already control. We watch branded search movement alongside video delivery, and we treat that handoff as part of the campaign rather than somebody else’s report. This is the advantage of buying video from a search company.

We Design the Measurement Before We Spend

Views confirm an ad was served. Lift shows whether it worked. We design Brand Lift and Search Lift studies into the media plan from the start, because both depend on spend levels, impression volume and audience size that have to be planned for rather than discovered afterwards. Where a campaign cannot support a statistically meaningful result, we say so instead of reporting noise as success.

Services

YouTube Marketing Services That Build Awareness,
Create Demand, and Lift Revenue

Our YouTube marketing services run the whole chain, from the first strategic question through production, media, creator partnerships and measurement. Every engagement is scoped to the growth you are trying to buy, and every element answers to the objective set in the plan.

YouTube Advertising Strategy and Media Planning

YouTube Advertising Strategy and Media Planning

A media plan built on what your budget is meant to achieve.

Strategy comes first because everything downstream inherits it. We define the objective, size the audience, split the budget across funnel stages, and build the reach and frequency plan that gives your brand presence without fatiguing the people you want to persuade.

  • Objective and Funnel Mapping.

We agree what awareness, consideration and action each look like for your business before choosing a single campaign type.

  • Audience and Demand Research.

We size the market, read category viewing behaviour, and build the audience architecture from your first-party data outward.

  • Budget Allocation and Reach Planning.

We split spend across the funnel and model the reach and frequency your budget can genuinely buy.

  • Share-of-Voice Review.

We look at what your category is already spending attention on, and find the space your brand can own.

YouTube Video Ad Campaigns

Video Ad Campaigns That Reach, Persuade, and Convert

Campaigns structured for the objective and for the system that serves them.

We build and run the full campaign set. Our YouTube advertising services cover Video Reach for scale, Video View for consideration, and Demand Gen for action across YouTube feeds, Shorts, Discover and Gmail. Each has a different job, and mixing them badly is the most common way video budgets get wasted.

  • Video Reach Campaigns.

Maximum unique reach across bumper, skippable, non-skippable and Shorts placements from one campaign, for launches and salience.

  • Video View Campaigns.

Optimised for genuine watched views, so your message reaches people who chose to hear it.

  • Demand Gen Campaigns.

Conversion-focused delivery across YouTube and Google's visual surfaces, built on your first-party audiences.

  • Bidding, Pacing and Frequency.

We manage cost per view and cost per thousand against the plan, and control frequency so presence does not turn into irritation.

Connected TV YouTube Advertising

Connected TV Campaigns That Put Your Brand in the Living Room

Television impact, bought with digital targeting and measured properly.

Connected TV is where Indian video attention has moved, and it is the strongest brand-building surface YouTube offers. As a YouTube advertising agency running CTV delivery, we plan for the big screen as its own medium rather than a place to re-run mobile creative.

  • CTV Planning and Placement.

Living-room inventory planned around prime-time viewing and household co-viewing rather than individual impressions.

  • Creative Built for the Big Screen.

Longer reads, wider frames, sound designed to be heard, and messaging written for a room rather than a commute.

  • Rural and Urban Targeting.

India's CTV growth is not only metro, and we plan separate creative and messaging where the audience genuinely differs.

  • Measurement Without a Click.

Reach, frequency, completion and lift, reported in the terms a brand team can take to a board.

YouTube Shorts Advertising

Shorts Advertising That Earns Attention

Vertical video built for a feed that gives you one second to matter.

Shorts moves reach efficiently and at a lower cost than in-stream placements, which makes it the best place to test creative before committing budget to it. We build for the format rather than cropping into it.

  • Placement and Budget Strategy.

Where Shorts belongs in your funnel, and how much of the plan it should carry.

  • Vertical-First Creative.

Shot and framed at 9:16, built to hold in a feed designed for scrolling past.

  • Sound-Off Design.

Captions, on-screen text and visual clarity, because a large share of feed viewing happens muted.

  • Rapid Creative Testing.

Low-cost volume testing that tells us which ideas deserve the bigger budget.

YouTube Video Production

Video Production That Serves the Media Plan

Production and media in one room, so nothing gets lost in the handover.

We write, shoot and edit in-house, which changes what a media plan can ask for. Instead of adapting one film to five placements, we produce for the placements the plan actually needs, from a single shoot.

  • Concept and Scripting.

Ideas built around the objective, with the format decided before the camera is booked.

  • Multi-Format Production.

Vertical, square and landscape captured together, along with six-second and fifteen-second cuts.

  • Captions, Subtitles and Language Versions.

Built for sound-off viewing and for India's multilingual audience, as a creative requirement rather than an afterthought.

  • Creative Iteration.

New cuts and variants produced against live performance data, in days rather than procurement cycles.

YouTube Creator Partnerships

Creator Partnerships That Build Trust

Creator collaborations matched on audience, not on follower count.

A creator's audience has already decided to trust them, and a well-matched partnership lends your brand some of that credibility. Our YouTube promotion services cover creator identification, negotiation and delivery, with the same measurement discipline we apply to paid media.

  • Creator Identification and Vetting.

Matched on audience overlap, category fit and genuine engagement rather than subscriber totals.

  • Brief, Negotiation and Contracting.

Deliverables, usage rights, disclosure requirements and timelines agreed before anything is shot.

  • Integrated and Dedicated Formats.

Product integrations, dedicated features and co-created series, chosen for what the brand needs to prove.

  • Paid Amplification of Creator Content.

We put media weight behind the collaborations that perform, so a good partnership reaches beyond that creator's own audience.

YouTube Marketing Measurement

Measurement That Proves the Uplift

Study design built into the media plan, not bolted on at the end.

This is where YouTube video marketing either earns its next budget or loses it. We design measurement alongside the plan, because lift studies depend on spend, impressions and audience size that have to be planned for from the start.

  • Brand Lift Study Design.

Survey structure, control group planning and the spend and impression levels a study needs to return a meaningful result. Eligibility conditions and thresholds vary by market and account.

  • Search Lift and Branded Query Tracking.

We watch what happens to branded search volume while video is running, which is where the loop between the two channels becomes visible.

  • Cross-Channel Attribution.

View-through behaviour, assisted conversions and the effect of video exposure on search and display performance.

  • Reporting for a Marketing Team.

Numbers structured for the conversation you have to have internally, not a dashboard export.

Recognised for Search Work.
Now Applying It to Video.

Two and a half decades of search results, industry recognition and a Google Premier Partnership sit behind every channel we take on.

Process

How We Build a Campaign That Grows Your Brand and Your Pipeline

We work in sequence because video advertising punishes shortcuts. Strategy sets the objective. Creative gets built for the placements the plan needs. Measurement gets designed before the first rupee is spent. Then we optimise against a target that was agreed rather than invented in month three.

1

Week 1–2
Brand, Audience and Demand Discovery

We start with the business, not the platform. What growth are you buying, who has to be persuaded, what does your category already sound like, and where does your existing demand come from. We audit your current video assets and read your search data, because the two together show us what the brand is already known for.

Objective definition Audience research Category and competitor review Creative asset audit Demand baseline

2

Week 2–3
Media Plan and Campaign Architecture

We build the plan: campaign types, format mix, placement strategy, audience architecture, budget split across the funnel, and the reach and frequency your budget can genuinely deliver. Measurement design is agreed here, at the same time as the spend, so nothing has to be retrofitted later.

Campaign architecture Format and placement mix Audience build Budget and flighting Measurement design

3

Week 3–5
Creative Development and Production

We write and produce for the placements in the plan. One shoot, multiple formats, multiple lengths, captions and language versions included. Where you already have usable footage, we build from it. Where the plan needs something the library cannot give it, we shoot.

Concept and script Multi-format shoot Length variants Captions and versions Creative review

4

Month 1
Launch, Learning Phase and Frequency Control

Campaigns launch and then need room to learn. We hold discipline through that window rather than reacting to early numbers, while managing frequency so your brand builds presence instead of pressure. Most video campaigns that fail were killed during this stage, before the data meant anything.

Campaign launch Learning phase management Frequency capping Placement monitoring Early creative read

5

Month 2 onward
Optimisation, Scaling and the Search Handoff

We scale what performs, retire what does not, and rotate creative before fatigue sets in. At the same time we work the handoff: video viewers move into search and display remarketing, and we track what video exposure does to branded query volume and search performance.

Budget reallocation Creative rotation Audience expansion Remarketing activation Search handoff tracking

6

Ongoing
Uplift Measurement and Reporting

We report reach, frequency, view rate and cost efficiency alongside the lift results the plan was designed to capture. Each cycle’s findings set the next cycle’s priorities, and we tell you plainly which conclusions the data supports and which it does not.

Placements and Formats

Six Ways to Buy Attention on YouTube, and the Growth Each One Delivers

Every placement does a different job at a different price, and matching them to funnel stages is most of the craft in video buying. Here is how we use each, and what we expect it to return.

Skippable In-Stream

The job it does: Earns attention rather than buying it. You pay when someone watches through or clicks, which means the format filters for interest before it charges you for it.

Where we use it:

Consideration, product education and remarketing, where the message needs more than a few seconds and the audience needs to choose to hear it.

Non-Skippable and Bumper

The job it does: Guaranteed message delivery, short and priced on impressions. Nothing is filtered, so every impression costs whether the viewer cared or not.

Where we use it:

Launch salience and reinforcement. Bumpers work hardest against people who have already seen a longer ad, holding a brand in mind rather than introducing it.

In-Feed Video

The job it does: Reaches people at the moment they are choosing what to watch, which makes it the closest video placement to intent.

Where we use it:

Consideration and conversion-focused retargeting, particularly where the creative can promise something specific enough to be chosen deliberately.

YouTube Shorts

The job it does: High-volume vertical reach at costs that tend to run below in-stream placements. Mobile-first, fast, and forgiving of experimentation.

Where we use it:

Top of funnel, creative testing, and reaching younger audiences who live in the vertical feed.

Connected TV and the Living Room

The job it does: Television impact with digital targeting. One impression can reach a room rather than a person, and the viewing is leaned-back and long-form.

Where we use it:

Brand building, launches, and budget moving across from linear television, where the creative deserves a screen that does it justice.

Masthead and Premium Takeover

The job it does: Mass simultaneous reach on a chosen date, at the top of the YouTube homepage. The largest single-day presence the platform sells.

Where we use it:

Launch days, festival moments and event tentpoles. Masthead is reservation-based with eligibility conditions, so we plan it well ahead and confirm availability before it enters a budget.

Why Savit

What Changes When Media, Creative, and Search Sit in the Same Room

Most brands choosing a YouTube marketing agency are really choosing between two half-solutions: an agency that can buy media but cannot make film, or a production house that can make film but cannot buy media. Here is what the difference looks like in practice.

What You Are Comparing Savit Media Buying Agency Production House
Where work starts Business objective, agreed before campaign type or creative Campaign setup, with creative supplied to them Creative brief, with media planned elsewhere
Campaign type selection Chosen against the objective across Reach, Views and Demand Gen Usually a strong preference for whichever type they run most Outside their scope
Creative built to format Produced to placement specification in one shoot Adapts whatever assets arrive Produces excellent film, then hands it over
Connected TV Planned as its own medium, with creative built for the room Bought as additional inventory Not a media capability
Shorts and vertical Shot vertical from the start Cropped from existing assets Shot well, briefed without media data
Creator partnerships Matched on audience fit, then amplified with paid media Often outsourced to a separate partner Sometimes produced, rarely negotiated
First-party audience data Built into targeting and remarketing architecture Handled, with variable depth Not applicable
Search handoff Managed by the same team that runs your search Passed to your search agency or nobody Not applicable
Measurement Lift studies designed into the plan before spend Reported after the fact, if eligible Delivery, not performance
What it costs you One accountable team across the whole chain Coordination overhead between two suppliers Coordination overhead, plus media bought elsewhere

Countries We Operate Across

What is included in YouTube marketing services?
Our YouTube marketing services include strategy and media planning, campaign build and management across Video Reach, Video View and Demand Gen, connected TV and Shorts advertising, in-house video production, creator partnerships, audience and remarketing architecture, and lift measurement design. Most engagements start with a media plan rather than a campaign, because the plan decides everything that follows.
Do you handle video production or only media buying?
Both, in-house. Our production and media teams work together, which means creative is built to the specification the media plan needs rather than adapted after the fact. It also means we can turn around new cuts and variants against live performance data in days.
Can you work with our existing creative?
Yes, and we will tell you honestly what it can and cannot do. Existing footage often covers more of a multi-format plan than brands expect. Where a placement genuinely needs something the library cannot provide, we shoot it rather than crop something in and hope.
Do you manage YouTube alongside our other paid channels?
We do, and it is where much of the value sits. As a YouTube marketing company in India that also runs search, shopping and display, we can manage what happens after someone sees your video instead of handing that moment to another agency.
How much do YouTube marketing services cost in India?
The cost of YouTube marketing services in India varies based on the scope of work, content requirements, video production, optimization, channel management, advertising budget, and reporting. Businesses should compare packages based on deliverables and expected objectives rather than price alone.
Can YouTube promotion services increase real subscribers?
Yes, YouTube promotion services can help attract relevant viewers who may subscribe when the content matches their interests. Sustainable subscriber growth generally depends on reaching the right audience, publishing valuable content consistently, optimizing videos for discovery, and converting viewers through strong channel and content experiences.a
Which YouTube ad format should we use?
The format follows the job. Bumpers and non-skippable ads suit awareness where the message must land in full. Skippable in-stream suits consideration, because it filters for genuine interest. In-feed and Demand Gen suit action. Shorts suits broad reach and creative testing. Using the wrong format for the funnel stage is the most common way video budgets get spent without effect.
What is the difference between Video Reach, Video View and Demand Gen campaigns?
Video Reach maximises unique reach across multiple formats from one campaign, which suits launches and salience. Video View optimises for genuine watched views, which suits consideration. Demand Gen optimises for action across YouTube feeds, Shorts, Discover and Gmail, and it is where conversion-focused video budgets now live after Video Action Campaigns were folded into it.
Should we advertise on YouTube Shorts?
Shorts is worth using for most brands, and it is particularly valuable as a testing surface. Costs tend to run below in-stream placements, which makes it an efficient way to find out which creative ideas deserve a larger budget. It needs genuinely vertical creative to work, not a cropped landscape film.
Can we advertise on connected TV, and how is it different?
You can, and it behaves like a different medium. One impression can reach several people in a room, viewing is leaned-back and longer-form, and there is no click to measure, so success is read through reach, frequency, completion and lift. Creative has to be written for a living room rather than a commute.
What is a realistic starting budget for YouTube advertising?
It depends on the objective more than the platform. A test-and-learn campaign on Shorts and in-feed can start modestly and still teach you something useful. A reach campaign meant to build genuine brand presence across a market needs enough weight to reach a large audience at meaningful frequency, and a Brand Lift study needs a further level of spend and impressions again. We tell you which of those your budget supports before you commit it.
How is YouTube advertising priced?
Depending on the format and campaign type, you pay per view, per thousand impressions, or per action. Skippable in-stream charges on genuine watch or click. Bumper and non-skippable charge on impressions. Demand Gen bids towards conversions. The pricing model matters because it changes what a low cost actually means.
How much of our budget should go to upper funnel versus conversion?
There is no universal split, and any agency quoting one has not looked at your business. The answer depends on how well known your brand already is, how long your buying cycle runs, and whether your conversion campaigns are constrained by demand or by budget. We model it as part of the media plan and revisit it as the data arrives.
Will YouTube advertising make our search campaigns cheaper?
It can, and this is one of the strongest reasons to run both together. People who have seen your video and then search for you tend to arrive better informed and more disposed towards you. We track branded query volume alongside video delivery so the effect is measured rather than assumed, and we build the remarketing paths that carry video viewers into search and display.
Do we need different creative for each format?
You need different shapes and lengths, which is not quite the same as different ideas. One well-planned shoot can produce vertical, square and landscape versions plus six-second and fifteen-second cuts. What does not work is running one landscape television film across every placement and expecting the system to make it fit.
How long should a YouTube ad be?
Long enough to earn the attention it asks for, and no longer. Bumpers are six seconds and work as reminders rather than arguments. Skippable in-stream can run longer when the content justifies it, because viewers who stay have chosen to. The first few seconds carry disproportionate weight in every skippable format, which is a creative problem before it is a media one.
Can we use our television commercial?
Sometimes, as one asset among several. Television films are built for a captive audience and a fixed length, and YouTube gives you neither. We usually recut them for the placements in the plan and produce additional assets alongside, particularly vertical ones, which almost no television shoot delivers.
Do our ads need captions and subtitles?
Yes, for two reasons. A large share of feed viewing happens with sound off, so an ad that depends on audio loses those viewers entirely. And India’s audience is multilingual, which makes language versions a reach decision rather than an accessibility afterthought. We build both into production.
How do you measure YouTube advertising success?
Against the objective the plan was built on. For awareness we report reach, frequency, completion and lift in recall or consideration. For consideration we report view rate, watch-through and cost per genuine view. For action we report conversions, cost per acquisition and the assisted effect on search and display. Views appear in the report and are not what we manage to.
What is a Brand Lift study, and would we qualify?
A Brand Lift study measures the difference in brand perception between people who saw your ads and a matched group who did not, covering metrics such as ad recall, awareness, consideration and purchase intent. Eligibility depends on spend, impression volume, audience size and study design, and thresholds vary by market and account. We assess it during planning and tell you plainly if your campaign cannot support a statistically meaningful result.
How long before we see results?
Delivery metrics such as reach, view rate and cost efficiency become readable within the first two to three weeks, once campaigns have moved through their learning phase. Brand effects take longer, and lift studies need a full flight to return anything meaningful. Effects on branded search usually become visible after sustained exposure. These are planning windows rather than promises, and they move with budget weight, category competition and how well known your brand already is.
Can YouTube advertising drive leads and sales directly?
It can, through Demand Gen campaigns and in-feed placements built on your first-party audiences, and it works best when video is also feeding your search and remarketing. Treating YouTube purely as a last-click channel undersells it, because much of what video does shows up in the performance of everything downstream.
How do YouTube marketing services help increase views and engagement?
YouTube marketing services can increase visibility through content strategy, keyword research, video optimization, audience targeting, thumbnail optimization, channel management, and performance analysis. Depending on the strategy, paid promotion can also be used to reach relevant audiences and generate additional video exposure.
How is the engagement structured?
Most clients work with us on a monthly retainer covering strategy, campaign management, creative iteration and reporting, with production scoped separately against what the media plan needs. We quote after the media plan rather than before it, because quoting before the plan means quoting for work nobody has defined yet.
What do you need from us to start?
Your business objective, your audience knowledge, access to your existing creative and analytics, and whoever internally can approve creative. If you already run search or social, access to that data makes the media plan considerably sharper, because it shows us where your demand already comes from.
Who manages the campaign day to day?
A named team including a strategist, a media manager and a creative lead, with your production work handled by the same studio throughout. You deal with the people doing the work rather than an account layer between you and them.
Do you work with brands outside India?
We do. We run campaigns for clients across six countries, and we handle the market-specific creative, language and audience differences that international video buying requires rather than duplicating one plan across borders.
